The NBA basketball season has started and we here at the Sacramento History Museum are, of course, rooting for the home team! In honor of the start of the season, Alex letterpress printed something for the Sacramento Kings. We had to get out some large wood type that was made in the late 1880s by the Hamilton Wood Type Company for this occasion. The typeface is French Clarendon. The text reads “GO KINGS LIGHT THE BEAM!” The beam appears over the Golden 1 Center when the Kings win. This was print
