Since you might not be able to get out to the Merrimac Wildlife Management Area to see one of the largest patches of Virginia bluebells in bloom, we're bringing the bluebells to you! Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica) flourish in the floodplain forest along Cedar Run at the Merrimac WMA. As such, the WMA has been recognized by the Virginia Native Plant Society in their site registry for the impressive population of these plants.
