Kitten Biting (and Snapping) For a typical singleton, Billy Bob was a biter. But he was also a snapper. It’s pretty normal for a kitten to want to bite human hands, especially when they don’t have the outlets that siblings provide. But the way Billy bit our hands was different—he snapped at our hands in a more defensive manner. Instead of continuing to bite, he would snap and then retreat. The way he did it made me wonder if he had some unpleasant experiences with a human hand before we got him.
