The FDNY Robotics Unit recently hosted an IAFF Robotics Workgroup at the Fire Academy, a three-day training session that tested the flight skills of remote pilots from the region. Currently the only requirement to fly drones in public safety is an FAA Certificate, issued after passing a written exam.
