As the 9th track on AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE, "Castles Made Of Sand" was recorded on October 5, 1967 during a lengthy session at Olympic Studios. After more than a dozen failed attempts, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Kramer made some gear adjustments before recording a few examples for review.
