Throwback Thursday and footage from the 1971 documentary about the salt flat king - "Burt Munro: Offerings to the God of Speed". Burt became famous for setting an under-1,000 cc world record at Bonneville in 1967 - a record which still stands! At the time, Munro was 68 and was riding a 47-year-old machine (a 1920 Indian Scout - 950cc from 600cc) when he set his last record.
