Slamming in Some Frets I like using an arbor press for this, and I have the StewMac fret press caul. I like bending the fret ends down with a hammer before trimming the edges. Although you can buy or craft your own fret end cutters, this pair I have I had since high school. I had machine shop way back then, and used the surface grinder to flatten the cutting edge flush.
