Nama is one of Zagreb’s oldest department stores, with a history of more than 140 years. It originated in the late 19th century as a modern retail store founded by Austrian merchants and later became a major shopping landmark. After World War II, Nama was nationalized and operated as a state-owned department store during the Yugoslav period. Following Croatia’s independence, the company faced financial difficulties and eventually entered long-term bankruptcy. In the 2020s, the historic Nama buil
