The Mitten activity - For story time today we read The Mitten by Jan Brett. We also acted out the story. I made a mitten by taping a mitten cut out onto a zip lock bag. I also printed and cut out images of the animals from the story. As we read the book the kids took turns placing the animals into the mitten bag. Later in the day the children were given mitten printouts and markers. We talked about how Nicki in the book wanted a white mitten. I asked them to color their mitten any way they wante
