When they buried us before we died and when they had eulogies with no audience. And most of us disappeared But some of us didn’t. AIDS killed us, sometimes even when it didn’t. They told me I wouldn’t live to see see 40. I am blessed to have lived a life with the humans that remained and grateful to have known the ones who didn’t. All of them are gifts. As are you.
