Jan 2, 2022 · I recently bought an Xbox Series X and am trying to find the best video settings. I’m using a Samsung Odyssey 4K 28” G70A monitor and I’m wondering if I can take advantage of the PC RGB video fidelity setting or should I just keep it on the standard (recommended) setting.

Nov 16, 2020 · This video he talks about the color settings, RGB 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0, in combination with 8, 10, or 12 bit color depth. Its great, but he mainly talks about hdmi 2.1 which has a 40 gbit bandwidth.

May 23, 2021 · PC mode for my PC and then game for the Series X and PS5. Running 4K120 at 12 bit RGB on the PC and the black levels and colors are perfect.

Jan 17, 2023 · The monitor has an auto-recognition function for RGB Full and RGB Limited, which is how I knew what output the Xbox was actually producing. The problem occurs at both color depth settings - 24 bits/pixel (8-bit) and 30 bits/pixel (10-bit). I tested this in GTA 5 Story Mode (Xbox X/Series version). Thank you for your help.

These images are from a VA panel that has strong contrast, but you can see from the images on the left, by default the Xbox is using the RGB Limited setting (which it recommends by default), which doesn't use the PC RGB colour space supported by the monitor. Feb 20, 2021 · I’ve got everything maxed in the Xbox settings, including 120hz and VRR. However, with The Medium and Sea of Thieves, I’ve encountered the dreaded VRR flickering and Gamma shift issue with this TV. Now, with my current Series X settings, my SDR and HDR are both in full RGB mode, which is good - HDMI 2.1.

Nov 11, 2020 · On my One X with a LG CX (among other TVs), with PC RGB on, the "Calibrate TV" tool in the settings was impossible to use as the eye would never show up, no matter the brightness. But, with the Series X, it DOES properly show up and it shows my TV is properly calibrated with the settings I have.

Feb 13, 2022 · Yeah, you'll want RGB full on the Xbox and have HDMI level to normal in the monitor settings (if you have that setting).

Aug 8, 2021 · Hey. I have the samsung odyssey G7 with my series x, and I have tryed to adjust the settings on my xbox and monitor to get the best image possible for 1440p 120hz. I tryed changing back and fourth from standard to PCRGB many times, but I just can't decide lol. So my question is what do you guys use for your monitor? PC RGB or standard mode?

Because my monitor uses a colour range of 0-255 but the default xbox colour range was 16-235 (standard setting) which caused the washed out colours. Changing the setting to PC RGB solved it. Settings - General - display options - video fidelity and overscan - colour space
