Jan 26, 2010 · Andersen will ship a "Van Load" to their Circle of Excellence Lumber Yards. They can compete with Home Depot this way. Basically they'll ship a trailer load of windows to the Lumber yard at a discount. Lumber Yard has to get a few houses worth of windows before they fill the quota for that load. So the lead time may be 2-6 weeks.

If you want cheap, easy to get, low end, low cost windows, you go to Home Depot or Lowes but like someone said, don't expect the same window.

I'm guessing he paid about 1500 for the windows, and another 1500 for install. I'm sure the installer got peanuts, but the install price seems about right.
