ZOOM is the most commonly used tool for remote instruction at NJIT. ZOOM accounts must be activated by logging in to n jit-edu.zoom.us using UCID credentials. This is only required once. See NJIT’s Z OOM tutorials (Zoom in Canvas) for additional assistance in using ZOOM.

ZOOM is a unified communication and collaboration platform where users are able to create and connect with each other both in and outside of Canvas. Users may connect with each other through whiteboard, team chat, virtual meetings, and phone. Support. As part of NJIT’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusiveness, Ally is now available.

To add or change your virtual background during a meeting, click on the upward arrow (^) next to Start/Stop Video. Click Choose Virtual Background, and select any of your backgrounds!
