Pelicans Suspend Zion Williamson For Violation Of Team Policies
Jan 10, 2025 · The New Orleans Pelicans have suspended Zion Williamson for one game for a violation of team policies. Williamson will miss Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers and will rejoin the Pelicans on Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at the Boston Celtics. Williamson returned to the Pelicans' lineup this week in a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Zion Williamson Nearing Return From Left Hamstring Strain
Dec 24, 2024 · Zion Williamson has been upgraded to week-to-week as he works his way back from a left hamstring strain. Williamson has begun the return to play conditioning phase of his rehab and is expected to fully return to practice next week. Williamson has appeared in six games this season, averaging 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 31.1 minutes.

The Pelicans' season has not gone as planned due to injuries to nearly their entire core and they have the worst record in the Western Conference. Williamson's future appears to still be with the Pelicans.
