Any reviews on Eastwood single stage paint - Team Camaro Tech
Mar 14, 2013 · The paint was very translucent, so hiding took a LOT of paint- which introduced time for more errors and trash (a separate issue I was fighting). Another interesting thing was that the "base coat" paint included in the kit a "base coat convertor" chemical. So what I got was a single-stage paint with a convertor to base-coat, which didn't work well.

For example, the basecoat/clearcoat paints are probably not made by the same folks that make Detail Gray or Alumablast, and someone else makes the splatter paint, etc. And I would suspect that even within a ...

Further to the last posting regarding whether to sandblast a rear end or not, I decided not to blast it since I wasn't taking it completely apart. Instead, I thoroughly wirebrushed, scraped, and sanded it. Then before painting it, I used Eastwood Paint Prep in an aerosol can.

May 25, 2010 · Dont know about eastwood but the benefit is killer. Take a single stage paint. Lay 2 color coats, mix enough for 2 coats of 25% color single stage and 75% clear lay 2 medium coats. Let cure for 2 days. Wetsand with 1000 grit and put 2 coats of high solid clear and you will have a paint job the pros will like.

I've used urethanes as well. If you want originality use Seymour EN-48. Most paints are too glossy, the wrong hue, and fill the casting texture.
