Jun 10, 2024 · When did Oculus change its logo? On October 29, 2021, Meta, formerly known as Facebook, announced that the brand, including the Oculus Quest series, would be renamed Meta Quest. The logo changed to reflect Meta’s new style. This change brought virtual reality products under the Meta umbrella, showing the company’s focus on creating a metaverse.

All of Oculus' social media accounts switched to Meta Quest. The Oculus icon is still being used for a limited amount of software and hardware, and the Oculus name is still in use for the Oculus Studios and Oculus Publishing brands.

Apr 16, 2022 · Meta is rolling out a new software update to its Quest headsets, replacing the Oculus logo on the boot-up screen for its headsets with the Meta blue infinity logo. The change will be embedded and rolled out in update 38 and gradually released to Quest owners.
