Employers rebuff union calls to increase local government pay offer
Local government employers have rebuffed union calls to increase their pay offer to staff in England, Wales and Northern Ireland for 2024-25. UNISON, Unite and the GMB wrote to employers urging “open meaningful pay talks” and an improved offer in the light of superior pay settlements handed out to other public sector workers by the government.
