Whoopi Goldberg took to The View to blast a “phony” AI weight loss ad running on social media that is using her image to promote the product. The ABC talk show host denounced the ad and warned viewers not to fall for the false advertisement,

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg addressed a "phony weight loss ad" circulating on Instagram during the show on Wednesday and said she had nothing to do with the ad.

Goldberg alleged that an unknown entity was using her image to hawk weight-loss methods on social media. "They have me selling bad weight-loss drugs," the Oscar winner said.

Goldberg said the company "melded" a CBS News Sunday Mornings appearance from her to sell “bad weight loss drugs."

The View, host Whoopi Goldberg stopped the show from taking a commercial break to give a warning: she says there is an Instagram ad using an AI version of her likeness to sell weight loss drugs without her consent.
