The White House cited Pentagon concerns that some American arms stockpiles were dwindling too low. Among the affected weapons were air defense systems, bombs, missiles and artillery rounds.

The Pentagon has paused some munitions shipments to Ukraine, including air defense missiles, after conducting a review of military spending and American support to foreign countries, a senior White House official told CNN.

The Pentagon has halted some shipments of air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine over concerns that U.S. stockpiles are too low, two people familiar with the decision said on Tuesday.

Russia launched a major attack on Ukraine’s fuel supply facilities on Monday (30 June). Footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows missiles being fired by Russia hitting numerous targets and drones across Ukraine.
