Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin's home was burglarized on the same day the Penguins hosted the Ottawa Senators.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin had his home broken into and burglarized over the weekend and his three Stanley Cup championship rings are missing. The Penguins say they're working with local police as well as team security officials and that Malkin has requested his privacy during what the team called an ongoing investigation.

The Seattle Kraken beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. The Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak and Eeli Tolvanen scored goals less than a minute apart in the third period to win the game.

A quick wrist shot found the back of the net behind Pittsburgh goalie Tristan Jarry, giving the Kraken an early 1-0 lead. It was Stephenson’s sixth goal of the season, but it was also a moment of personal triumph for the veteran forward.

Pittsburgh has now lost eight of its 10 games since the holiday break and has fallen to seventh in the wild card race
