Nearly two months after Minnesota lawmaker Rep. Melissa Hortman was assassinated, voters selected XP Lee as the DFL candidate in a special primary election held to fill her seat.
Lee will face Republican and real estate agent Ruth Bittner in a special election on Sept. 16 for the legislative seat previously held by House DFL Leader Rep. Melissa Hortman.
