Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that Helldivers 2 will release on Xbox Series X|S on August 26. The hit shooter is a second-party game as Arrowhead itself is not owned by Sony but the IP is.
Sony seems to be removing region restrictions on Steam ports of Helldivers 2, TLOU 2, and more, potentially due to Stellar Blade's success.
While games like Spider-Man 2, Helldivers 2, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered no longer have these restrictions, some titles, such as Ghost of Tsushima, remain restricted.
Sony has also seen some success in the live-service arena, particularly with Helldivers 2 from developer Arrowhead Games, which has sold more than 12 million copies since its 2024 release.
