The race for the Harris County District Attorney's seat was in close margins early Wednesday, with Dem. Sean Teare leading with just 50.81 percent of the vote against Rep. Dan Simons by 7 a.m.

Harris County has reported less than 300 votes as of 9:30 p.m. Director of Elections Sherrail Jarrett tells WRBL her office is in the process of going through the all the write-in candidates. There are a number of write-ins for the presidential race as well as Georgia House District 139.

Incorrect numbers were shown for Harris County early voting locations due to an issue within the spreadsheet used to keep track of totals.
