Anisimova, 23, returns to Centre Court for Saturday's final against the winner of Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic. Anisimova is trying to become the first American to win a Grand Slam in London since Serena Williams' seventh and final Wimbledon title in 2016.

Sabalenka double-faulted on set point to give Anisimova the first set. But in the second set, Anisimova’s level dropped. Her first-serve points won dropped to 52% from 82% in the first set, and Sabalenka took advantage. She closed out the first set with a service winner.
