A group headed by Bill Chisholm is set to take control of the Boston Celtics after the NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved the sale on Wednesday.

The Boston Celtics are going to look a lot different during the 2025-26 season, but there will be plenty of intrigue around the team as it navigates a season without Jayson Tatum.

On Saturday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported the news that Harper Jr. is signing a deal with the Boston Celtics. Via Scotto: "The Boston Celtics and Ron Harper Jr. have agreed to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype.

Ron Harper Jr. is back within the Celtics organization after spending some time in Boston last season. Per Spotrac’s Keith Smith, Harper signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Celtics, meaning he’ll be with the team for training camp.

The son of Chicago Bulls legend Ron Harper, Harper has played for the Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons over the first three seasons of his NBA career. His playing time has been limited, as he has only appeared in 11 games throughout that span, averaging 2.2 points a night, but he seems to have potential.
