Small brush fire burns in Grantville neighborhood of San Diego
A blaze that officials dubbed the Alvarado Fire began burning near Interstate 8 on Thursday afternoon. The fire was first reported in the 4300 block of Alvarado Canyon Boulevard in the Grantville neighborhood of San Diego at about 3:45 p.m.
The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m. Thursday in the Otay Mountains of San Diego's South Bay near the border.
