After a strong week against some good opponents, the Toronto Blue Jays have seen their chances of winning the NL East Division soar.

Shane Bieber is ready to make his 2025 debut and Eric Lauer is the odd man out of the Blue Jays rotation, a change he insists is temporary.

The 35-year-old veteran has been having a resurgent season with the Blue Jays after a down year in 2024. Springer has posted a .289 batting average, .886 OPS, 19 home runs, and 59 RBIs across 104 appearances, helping lead Toronto to the top of the standings.

As the Toronto Blue Jays look to continue their successful run of late, they have been struggling in one area that could be a bit of a concern.

Springer went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.

Offensively, George Springer hit his 20th home run of the campaign, while Alejandro Kirk hit his 10th. It was part of a three-hit night for Kirk where he went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. He also tied World Series winner Pat Borders in some history among Jays catchers.
