EST the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from 3 p.m. EST until Friday 7 a.m. EST for Chippewa County.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.Widespread freezing rain and drizzle will continue to increase Wednesday evening, causing untreated roads, sidewalks, and driveways to become icy and slick.

Freezing rain could lead to a 10th of an inch of ice accumulating overnight, creating very hazardous travel conditions across much of northern Ohio. Concerns about the ice have led the National Weather Service to issue a winter weather advisory for the region,
