While the NHC says the system currently has a medium chance for further development, AccuWeather warns that its development potential is high risk. Should the system develop, it could become a problem for Florida.

Water temperatures in the Caribbean are higher than average, which helps fuel extra activity. We have already had two named systems this month, and this new area is likely to develop in the western Caribbean before the end of the week. If it becomes a named storm, the next name on the list is Sara.

Reasonable tracks for the end of the week range from west toward Mexico or Texas to north toward the Florida Panhandle.

The two newest disturbances, one northeast of the Caribbean and another in the North Atlantic, hold only a low chance of tropical development.
