Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has placed an order for four giant new cruise ships. This reflects a cruise marketing strategy that emphasizes ships as floating resorts.

Holland America Line's Rotterdam docked on Friday after passengers and crew became ill with norovirus beginning on February 7.

Cruise ships are required to report these outbreaks, the CDC said. The Rotterdam, a Holland America Line cruise ship, reported theirs on Feb. 7. This is the fourth outbreak reported to the agency this year.
