As Cobra Kai drew its final curtain with season 6 part 3, one of the major expectations of the fans was to see a rematch between Johnny and Daniel.

In the final scene, Daniel attempts to catch a fly with chopsticks like Mr. Miyagi challenged him to do in The Karate Kid. Johnny comes and squishes the fly with his hands while they are out for lunch, once again illustrating that their friendship is based on differences.

Chan and Macchio were officially announced to be reprising their roles as Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso, respectively, for Karate Kid: Legends. It was a big moment for Karate Kid fans as the film would connect into a shared universe.
