That's Smith, insulting his client, forcing him to cut off his entourage in a cost-saving move and getting stabbed to death for his trouble. It's a departure from Smith's previous acting role, in which he served up his own justice to prevent a crooked nurse from murdering a patient as part of his 50 (!) episode arc on General Hospital.
