The Met Office has issued two amber warnings for snow and ice from 18:00 tomorrow for large areas of England and Wales.

A cold Arctic blast is bringing widespread frost across the country as temperatures plunged to as low as -8.1C overnight.

What it means: An amber warning is much rarer and presents significantly more risks. These usually carry warnings of potential significant injury or danger to life in the most severe areas impacted.
