Hundreds of Bay Area residents gathered in Oakland on Saturday to push back against President Trump's attempt to gerrymander Texas.
The "Fight the Trump Takeover" rallies will take place this weekend. In Austin, the protest will take place at the Texas State Capitol from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will be attended by Austin Reps. Greg Casar and Lloyd Doggett, Beto O'Rourke and renowned civil rights and labor leader Dolores Huerta ., according to the official event page.
Protests took place at the Capitol on Saturday as part of a nationwide series called "Fight the Trump Takeover National Day of Action."
