These fast-hitting, intense blasts of snow and whipping winds can make for treacherous travel, especially on the highway.

The latest Massachusetts snow storm was nothing to write home about, but it did fall in time to make the Wednesday morning commute a bit slower in much of the state. Snow delays were declared for some Massachusetts schools as a result.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of western Massachusetts until 10PM for wind gusts that could reach 50mph. While much of Hampden County missed out on the snow due to dry air, areas of Hampshire and Franklin Counties did receive snowfall accumulation with snow covered roads.

Some of Massachusetts saw several inches of snow overnight, contributing to a slippery morning, while others saw very little accumulation.
