The alleged shooter of a Minnesota state lawmaker, her husband, their dog, and others, has been indicted on eight state charges, the county attorney announced.

A Minnesota man accused of killing a top Democratic state lawmaker and wounding another is now facing new and upgraded state charges.

State prosecutors had previously charged the man with second-degree murder in the deaths of State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband.
