It seems like Andrew Wiggins being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason is a long shot. Lakers insider Jovan Buha said Monday during a question-and-answer session, "I don't know if Wiggins at this point is looking realistic" given what the Miami Heat are asking for in return.

According to Lakers insider Jovan Buha, the Miami Heat, who currently hold Wiggins’ contract after a separate deal with the Warriors, have set a steep asking price. The Heat are reportedly demanding Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura, and a future first-round pick in exchange for the 30-year-old Canadian forward.

There has been talk for at least a week that they have been angling to trade for Andrew Wiggins, a two-way wing who currently plays for the Miami Heat. Wiggins was an All-Star starter and won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2022, and he could potentially make L.A. a title contender.
