Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser is coming off the strongest season of his NHL career to date — and, with less than a year remaining on his current contract, the 27-year-old winger has put himself in a good position to earn a substantial pay increase.

Boeser missed Vancouver’s final game of the 2023–24 season—a Game 7 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in the second round—after scans revealed clotting from a blocked shot earlier in the series. Despite the setback, Boeser reported that the clotting issue didn’t significantly disrupt his offseason training when addressing media members last May.

After consecutive three-year “show-me” bridge deals in Vancouver, Boeser is now starting a show-me season after scoring 47 times in 93 games.
