The Atlanta Braves had a busy Tuesday and announced a series of moves before the evening contest with the Chicago White Sox. Up first, the club announced the promotion of right-handers Dane Dunning and Connor Seabold, followed by the demotion of righties Daysbel Hernández and Hunter Stratton.
“Pretty special player, and it’s cool that he got to pass Pete Rose there and had a great night doing it,” said Drake Baldwin, whose two-out, bases-loaded single in the eighth inning drove in Olson and Ronald Acuña Jr. with the final runs of a game the Braves trailed 10-4 after six innings.
The Atlanta Braves are in Cleveland on Friday night to open a road series against the Guardians after taking two of three from their NL East rival New York Mets, improving to 53-68 but still sitting well outside the playoff picture.
The Braves and White Sox series has been one of the best of the week as the two have combined for 43 runs in two games! Atlanta won Tuesday in 11-10 thrilling fashion, while Chicago took Monday’s matchup 13-9. Sadly, this is the final meeting of the season between the two.
