Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the mound Thursday in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first Cactus League game of their Spring Training schedule and pitched to solid results.

The Los Angeles Dodgers may be even scarier in 2025 based on what manager Dave Roberts had to say about one of his star pitchers. Roberts had a very scary quote about Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto when addressing the media on Monday.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw 42 pitches in a 15-minute long bullpen session Monday at spring training. As manager Dave Roberts looked on, he couldn’t help but think that Yamamoto looks to be ahead of schedule — and much further along than he was at this point last season.
