Sweden announces largest military aid package to Ukraine

Concern for continued aid for Ukraine in Europe following Donald Trump's inauguration appears to be growing as he did not mention Kyiv in his speech.
Sweden joined Nato in March 2024 as a result of Russia’s war in Ukraine and plans to increase defence spending to reach 2.6 per cent of GDP in 2028, compared with 2.2 per cent in 2024.
Sweden’s defence minister said on Thursday the Nordic country had agreed to donate its biggest aid package to Ukraine so far, worth 13.5bn Swedish crowns ($1.23bn).
