Mumbai: As the elections in Maharashtra are nearing, the ministers are busy inaugurating and announcing mega schemes and projects showcasing their works in the elected term and woo voters for upcoming polls.

With the Assembly elections approaching in Jharkhand, the Congress on Friday set up the Pradesh Election Committee, campaign committee and the manifesto committee in its state unit. While state unit chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh was made the chairman of the Pradesh Election Committee,

The commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, will be in Jharkhand on September 23-24 and in Maharashtra on September 27-28, the sources said. Last time, Maharashtra and Haryana went to the polls together. This time, however, the poll panel decided to decouple the elections in the two states.
