She was watching a movie on a Delta Air Lines flight when she was severely burned by a cup of coffee served to her by a flight attendant.

A flight back to Seattle on Delta Air Lines for a woman from Chehalis, Washington, quickly turned traumatic in December of last year. “She’s watching a movie, flight attendant puts a cup of burning hot coffee on her food tray and it ends up in her lap,

The flight attendants were “dismissive and displayed a lack of concern for” the Washington woman, the lawsuit says.

Court documents state that when the woman asked for medical attention, flight attendants were dismissive and told her to “just go change” before handing her a bag of ice.
