The Dallas Cowboys made it official on Monday that the organization has parted ways with head coach Mike McCarthy after five seasons together.

The two sides engaged in no discussions about a new deal, and McCarthy is expected to be a candidate in Chicago and New Orleans.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones should step down as GM of the team. He addressed that very question after Sunday's loss.
