The Blue Jays announced the signing of Jeff Hoffman to a three-year, $33MM free agent contract. Jon Morosi of the MLB Network reported earlier this evening that Hoffman and the Jays had productive conversations on a potential multi-year deal.

That’s the Toronto Blue Jays, the franchise that drafted Hoffman with the ninth overall pick in the 2014 MLB draft. The team confirmed Friday night that it had signed Hoffman, one of the game’s top relief pitchers, to a three-year, $33 million deal.
