Veteran Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz spent the first 8.5 seasons of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles so it was a homecoming of sorts as those two teams squared off in the NFC championship game.

The Washington Commanders' skyrocket season came to a close in Sunday's NFC Championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but tight end Zach Ertz's career did not. Ertz, 34, stated he's not ready to call it on his 13-year NFL career just yet.

Ertz had high praise for the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback. Among playoff quarterbacks, Daniels ranks first in passing yards and fourth in completion percentage and has tossed four touchdowns in two games with a 116.2 quarterback rating.

The veteran tight end returns to Philadelphia this weekend to face the Eagles in the NFC title game as a valuable member of the Washington Commanders' high-scoring offense. Either Ertz or the team he spent his first 8 1/2 NFL seasons with is going to the Super Bowl.
