A Florida man convicted of murdering a husband and wife during a fishing trip in 1997 is scheduled to be executed next month. Gov.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a death warrant for a man convicted of the brutal 1997 murders of a couple in Charlotte County. James D. Ford, 64, is scheduled to be executed on February 13th at Florida State Prison for the murders of Greg and Kimberly Malnory.

James Edward Ford III, 43, was arrested on Friday after the student reported to a school resource officer at West Port High School that the pair kissed, including once in a school locker room, and had a sexual encounter in the coach’s vehicle last September, according to the Ocala Police Department.

James Ford, who was convicted in the 1997 murders of Greg and Kimberly Malnory, a Charlotte County couple, now is set to be executed next month.
