A double murder of Richard and Rita Zajko in December 2022 has been linked to the fatal shooting of a Border Patrol Agent in Vermont.

Police are looking for a person believed to have purchased the handguns used by two people involved in the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol agent David "Chris" Maland earlier this month in northern Vermont.

The fatal shooting occurred Jan. 20 in Vermont when Border Patrol agent David Maland stopped a vehicle on Interstate 91, about 20 miles south of the Canada border.
