A couple of days after Trump's second inauguration, which saw him become the first convicted felon sworn in as President of the United States, some Instagram users are claiming their accounts have automatically followed Trump and his Vice President, JD Vance.

Celebrities voiced concerns over account automatic refollows and skepticism over changes within Meta's operations and policy direction.

According to CNN, Abrams, an American singer and songwriter, took to her Instagram story stating that she had to unfollow the "@vp" and "@potus" accounts three times as Meta kept automatically refollowing them. She even had to block the accounts to ensure she stayed away from them.
