The Internet metrics company that claimed Windows XP's user share plummeted last month said Tuesday that it had struck several Chinese websites from its tallies, causing the dramatic decline.

It's not just diehard individuals clinging to XP. More than 6,000 websites worldwide still use it, and nearly a third of those are in the United States.
